Paid-service evidence snapshot
BeenVerified and Spokeo have direct email-search routes, giving them clearer input-fit evidence than generic people-search homepages. Radaris’s current email flow and VeriPages’s live access boundary were not verified. None has a tested value-per-match result in this release.
- A direct email input is necessary but does not establish report quality.
- Displayed checkout cost can differ from renewal cost or report add-ons.
- A no-result policy matters as much as the advertised entry price.
Why we withhold a paid winner
Current checkout totals, renewal cadence, cancellation steps, refunds and useful field depth have not been collected under the same protocol. Publishing a “best paid” order would be a disguised guess.
Five checks before checkout
Confirm the billing period, renewal amount, cancellation route, included lookup allowance and what happens when no match is found. Save the final checkout terms rather than relying on a search-result snippet.
Match the paid report to the task
Paying for a broad people report may be unnecessary when you only need a company role. Conversely, a professional enrichment result may not help with a personal webmail address.
Privacy cost is part of the decision
Consider what identifier the provider receives, whether an account becomes a retained search history and how to exercise deletion or opt-out rights. More fields are not automatically more useful.
What a future value test will measure
A controlled test will compare final checkout amount, successful authorized matches, correct fields, stale fields, no-result handling, cancellation completion and the number of useful outcomes per dollar.
Evidence status at a glance
This is a documentation matrix, not a performance score. A direct page confirms scope; it does not prove completeness, accuracy, freshness, or value.
| Service | Documented role | Evidence status | Important unknown |
|---|---|---|---|
| BeenVerified | Reverse-email and people-search context | Direct route located | Returned fields |
| Spokeo | Email search and people-search context | Direct route located | Result completeness |
| Radaris | People search and public-record context | Partial evidence | Direct web email input |
| VeriPages | Provider-stated email and people search | Provider-stated only | Live email input |
